*The Footprints program allows our students to “shadow” individuals in occupations of interest to them. This gives students an inside view of careers, including the expectations and challenges that go with them. The program focuses on allowing seniors to observe what takes place in specific careers and to develop a preliminary idea of what it takes to do a job. Students are required to spend a minimum of five (5) hours observing and then complete an evaluation of their experience. Trinity Christian Academy externally weights grades for those students enrolled in Honors and AP courses. Students are given .5 extra quality points for grades earned in Honors and Dual Enrollment courses and one extra quality point for AP courses.
English (9-12), Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Chemistry II, Physics, World History, Spanish III and IV
American History and Calculus.
College Algebra 111, Plane Trigonometry 112, English Composition 111 and 112, Introduction to Psychology and Introduction to Business.
Students’ ranks are based on cumulative grading for eight semesters beginning in ninth grade. The two students in the senior class achieving the Academic with Distinction Diploma with the highest GPA’s are named Valedictorian and Salutatorian. In the event of a tie, students’ numeric averages are the determining factor. Students must have attended Trinity for at least two years.
Students in the ninth grade are given the Stanford Achievement Test. Tenth graders take the PLAN test (the preliminary to the ACT). All eleventh graders take the PSAT as well as the Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). Eleventh graders are all expected to begin taking college entrance exams as well. Seniors may re-take college entrance exams as needed.
Seventy percent of the class of 2010 attend a four year university; thirty percent attend a two year college; 100% college attendance. Colleges to which students from the last three graduating classes were accepted:
