Tom Hughes Upper School Principal

We are excited to welcome Tom Hughes as our new Upper School Principal. Tom received his B.S from
Lambuth College, M.Ed. from the University of Memphis, has Doctoral hours from the University of
Arkansas and has completed graduate work through ACSI’s Leadership Academy through George Fox
University.

Following graduation from Lambuth, Tom was a teacher and coach in the Jackson Madison County School
System and at Tennessee Academy in Brownsville, TN. He is passionate about Christian education and
has served successfully in the capacities of Upper School Principal and Head of School in Christian
education through the years. Tom spent the last seven years serving as Head of School at Eden Christian
Academy in Pittsburgh, PA. He and his wife are excited to return to Jackson and to join TCA in ministry
and leadership.

“The opportunity to join a flourishing Christian school committed to educating the minds and hearts of
students is truly an honor. I am eager to link arms with the talented TCA Upper School faculty and staff in
equipping students to think and act with Christ-like character. I am excited about returning to Jackson where
I first met my wife, formerly Janet Booth, and began my career…it is home!”

We are grateful and blessed to have Tom to join our team! Tom is a true man of integrity who values
relationships and excellence. He is a devoted follower of Christ who loves serving students and
families in education and ministry.

Tom and Janet have 3 children, LaRhesa Bailey, who lives in Omaha, Nebraska with her family; Brian
Hughes, who lives in Little Rock, Arkansas with his family; and Matthew Hughes, recently married and
moving to Jackson.
