Families,

I was thankful to see the sun peek out this afternoon and thankful for our wonderful students, families, faculty, and staff. I want to communicate more updates to help keep you informed.

Extended Date for Online Learning – Governor Bill Lee announced yesterday that he wants Tennessee schools to remain closed until at least April 24th in an effort to control the COVID-19 virus spread. Our facilities are closed through April 24th, but learning and service will continue through our online learning format and multiple modes of communication.

Online Learning Transition – Today was the official start of online learning for Little Lion 2’s through 12th grade. This process is designed to be as respectful as possible to your family as we continue to engage, teach, and challenge our students with excellence. I’m already impressed with our teachers and students for positively embracing this avenue of learning in a more formal capacity. Thankfully, TCA was already fully equipped and ready for this transition. I believe we will all be inspired by the resiliency and growth of our students during this unexpected time.

School Events – All school events are postponed until further notice and we will keep you updated as decisions are made. Consistent with the Governor’s and TSSAA’s recommendations, and in the interest of the health and safety of competitors, coaches, officials, and spectators, all TCA athletic games, practices, and organized workouts or conditioning will remain postponed through April 24th.

The Class of 2020 – Some of you already know that TCA has a phenomenal Class of 2020. They are leaders, thinkers, visionaries, and are on the path of seeking and finding what God has for their lives. This curveball in life will be caught well by this class. Know that plans are in process to help them have an awesome finish to their senior year! Details regarding graduation are pending at this time.

The Trinity Difference – I have spoken much through the years about what makes Trinity different and set apart. I realize now more than ever that Jesus Christ is the Trinity Difference. He is the core of our mission. Christ compels us towards excellence and love, in His name, as we strive to educate the hearts, minds, and bodies of His children. He is at the center of all we do and all we seek. At Trinity, each of our students represents a soul that belongs to God.

You are not alone! – Trinity joins you and your churches in walking through this crisis and seizing God’s countless opportunities while looking to Him for holy wisdom and direction. May God strengthen and protect your family. May He provide abundantly for all of your needs. May you draw strength and peace from Him.

We thank God for your family and are honored to serve you.

Judy Brown, Head of School

TCA’s 2019-2020 School Verse

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7
